hara hara ......

Must have been an awesome undertaking to install! From what I view online...a shimmering of budding new life during this coldest of winter days. Yet, the heaviness of each cherry tree image is somewhat upsetting. This orchard seems almost sinister and uninviting, rather than graceful and beckoning the viewer to take a closer look.
Perhaps...a sign of the times.

Watching the installation slowly come together was astonishing. I would not believe the amount of work and time that went into putting the delicate flowers on the trees.

I really like that some of the branches were left open and had fewer cherry blossoms. It adds a nice flow to the piece, a place for the eye to rest and take in the impact of the rest of the blossoms.

The white blossoms against the blue creates a peaceful, clean ambience that makes for a comfortable space.
The tenacity that comes with creating such an installation must also create a patience unlike any other in order to complete. This is a reminder of how patience can labor discipline and beauty.
